How do I join the PMI - Central Illinois Chapter?

Costs associated with joining PMI International and PMI-Central Illinois Chapter:

  • $129 per year PMI member dues + $10 New Member Fee 1st Year Only
  • $25 per year PMI-CIC member dues

Membership Benefits:

  • Reduced registration fees for chapter events
  • Eligible for volunteer recognition and awards
  • Eligible for PMP certification award (must be a member AT THE TIME OF successfully sitting for the PMP exam.)
  • Subscription to the PMI-CIC Membership Minute
  • Eligible to run for Director and Board positions.

Student Membership to join PMI International and the PMI-Central Illinois Chapter:

  • $32 per year PMI member dues 
  • $20 per year PMI-CIC member dues

Membership application procedures:

A. To apply (or re-apply) for BOTH PMI Global and PMI-CIC membership follow these steps:

  • Go to http://www.pmi.org/ and click on the "Membership" tab and choose "Become a Member".
  • Scroll down on the page and choose “Individual” or “Student” membership under the heading “Join Today”.
  • Click “Add to Cart”.
  • Click "Join"
  • Complete the membership application, following on-screen directions.
  • Based on your address, membership in the Central Illinois Chapter will already be pre-selected for you, you will have to go to Join Local Chapter, to have the chapter added to your cart.
  • Complete billing and payment information and click on the “Complete Purchase” button.
  • Congratulations - you are now a member of PIM and the Central Illinois Chapter!
  • You will receive a confirmation email from PMI, including a receipt of payment. PMI Global will update the PMI-CIC database, to reflect your membership, within 72 hours.

You can also download an application form from PMI.org. On the application form, indicate that you also wish to join the PMI-Central Illinois Chapter. Due to manual processing, this process will take longer to get your membership information routed back to PMI-CIC.

B. To apply (or re-apply) for ONLY PMI-CIC membership follows these steps:

  • You must be a member in good standing with PMI before applying for membership in PMI-Central Illinois Chapter.
  • Go to www.pmi.org and click on "Members Log on"
  • Click on the “Membership” tab and navigate to the PMI Chapter Page”.
  • Scroll down on the page until you see the section named "Join a PMI Chapter.
  • Scroll down under “Find a Chapter” and click on “Join” under the Central Illinois Chapter. This will place the Chapter membership fee of $20 in your cart.
  • Click "Join Chapter" on the chapter you wish to join and then select "Add to Cart". This should take you back to your cart so you may continue checking out. 
  • You will receive a confirmation email from PMI, including a receipt of payment. PMI Global will update the PMI-CIC database, to reflect your membership, within 72 hours.

PMI-CIC has no control over content, actions, or responses on the www.pmi.org website and therefore cannot provide technical support of any kind.

This PMI global and chapter systems do not synch NOT real-time and can take up to 45 days. While you are waiting to receive your first Membership Minute communication from PMI-CIC, please visit our PMI-CIC website regularly to remain up to date on current and future events.
