Description:

We will be taking a tour of the Arena and learn about the process of a typical Arena conversion. During the Arena’s busy season, the conversion crew converts the Arena from a hockey game to a different event and back to hockey on a weekly basis. In order to do that, Arena management needs to be on the same page from start to finish. Come learn about their projects, timelines, and everything they do to get ready for a big show.

About the Venue:

Grossinger Motors Arena (then known as the U.S. Cellular Coliseum) first opened its doors to the public on April 1, 2006 when it played host to a Bloomington Extreme Indoor Football game. The arena has been the home venue for several hockey, indoor football, and basketball teams, and has hosted an array of events, including concerts, family shows, ice shows, motors sports, and trade shows. Grossinger Motors Arena has also been the location for local graduation ceremonies, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals Caravans, Illinois High School Association’s regional and state tournaments, and a wide variety of private meetings and religious gatherings. On April 1, 2016, VenuWorks of Bloomington was selected by the City of Bloomington as the new management company for the facility.

Parking: Located in the parking deck just south of Grossinger Motors Arena and is FREE up to 4 hours. Once parked, enter the Arena through the VIP doors next to the Pepsi Ice Center.

Pre-registration Expires: Preceding Thursday, 5:00 p.m.

Cancellation Policy: RSVPs may be cancelled by 5:00 p.m. Thursday before the event. Cancellations after this time are treated as no-shows and will be invoiced. Send cancellations to VP of Operations.

Substitution Policy: Substitutions will be allowed. Alternate Attendee will need to notify the registration desk at the meeting as to who he/she is replacing.
