Description:

Raji More is a Freshman at Normal Community High School. Raji started a Little Free Pantry in Bloomington when she was 11. She was inspired by a speaker’s call for action as hunger hits over 100 kids in McLean County alone each day. She started an all student run little free pantry and now has over 50 volunteers to gather food items, organize and distribute non-perishable food every other day.

Avani Rai is an 8th grade student at Evans Junior High School, whose passion is serving the community. At a young age, Avani began her volunteer activities through numerous organizations, like SEWA International USA, EKAL Vidyalaya, 4H Teen Teachers, 4H Hunger Ambassadors. She is an active volunteer or the Little Free Pantry.

Brief description about the speaker to be used by emcee for introduction

Raji More is a Freshman at Normal Community High School. Raji started a Little Free Pantry in Bloomington when she was 11. She was inspired by a speaker’s call for action as hunger hits over 100 kids in McLean County alone each day. She worked with the Mayor and Alderman to start an all student run little free pantry and now has over 50 volunteers to gather food items, organize and distribute non-perishable food every other day. LFP volunteers now run several projects to help the community. Raji was recently invited to TEDx Normal event to speak the Little Free Pantry. Please welcome Raji More.

Avani Rai is an 8th grade student at Evans Junior High School, whose passion is serving the community. At a young age, Avani began her volunteer activities through numerous organizations, like SEWA International USA, EKAL Vidyalaya, 4H Teen Teachers, 4H Hunger Ambassadors, and the Little Free Pantry. She also served as the president of her school’s (Evans Junior High) student council. Through her activities, she has learnt and utilized many management skills, such as organization, leadership, and communication. Avni has numerous acheivements credits that she is proud of.

In the future, Avani aspires to to serve in the government in Congress, so that she can continue to work for the betterment of her community on a larger scale.

Cancellation Policy: RSVPs may be cancelled by 5:00 p.m. Thursday before the event. Cancellations after this time are treated as no-shows and will be invoiced. Send cancellations to VP of Operations.

Substitution Policy: Substitutions will be allowed. Alternate Attendee will need to notify the registration desk at the meeting as to who he/she is replacing.
